Cub Scout Pack 89

Pack meeting starts at 6:30 promptly at United Methodist Church. 

Webelo 1’s please bring a snack to pass, your 3 projects we worked on this month, and plan to be at the Church by 6 pm and staying to clean up until around 8 pm.

Attention ALL den leaders:  Please bring some markers, pencils, etc. anything to write with if possible for the boys. 

All Scouts, please bring any projects to display and show everyone as to what you have been working on in your den meetings.  We will be displaying the items by den.

Please help our community with the annual Scouting For Food drive. The drive consists of two events. The first event is the Leaflet Drop, which will take place Saturday November 1, 2008 from 9:00am until noon. The second event is the Food Pickup which is Saturday November 8, 2008 again from 9:00am until noon.

Leaflet Drop - 11/1/2008

Arrive at Peace Lutheran Church and you will receive an area assignment in town and a stack of leaflets explaining what is the Scouting For Food program. You drive to that area with the boys and put a flyer in each door in that area, then return to Peace Lutheran Church. Please wear scout uniforms!

Food Pickup - 11/8/2008

Arrive at Peace Lutheran Church and you will receive and area assignment in town. You will drive to that assigned area and drive through the area looking for food bags that have been left outside by the front door of the homes. Pick up any food in the area and return it to Peace Lutheran Church. Please wear scout uniforms!

The UWP Homecoming Parade begins at 10:00am sharp. We need to meet by St. Augustine at 9:15 to line up in our spots. Please be there in dress uniform!

As a side note, the popcorn blitz day begins that same day at 1:00pm. Please meet us at the United Methodist Church parking lot and we will break into groups and do door to door sales until 3:00pm.

From 1:00p.m. to 3:00p.m., please join us for the Popcorn Blitz at the United Methodist Church parking lot.

Please wear your scout uniforms and bring your sales sheets and extra pens. We’ll begin our popcorn sale by meeting at the parking lot of the church, then break into teams to cover town! This is a great way to get a jump start on popcorn sales!

One lucky boy selling with the Pack on Blitz day will receive that Mercedes Benz remote control car through a random drawing. The boy must sign in and participate in the Pack’s Blitz Day event to be eligible.

• Thursday, December 18

All pack meeting will be held at the United Methodist Church and will start promptly at 6:30pm, unless otherwise indicated.  Families are encouraged to attend since pack meeting are for the entire family.
